Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is an Indian insurance company established in 1956. It offers a wide range of individual and group insurance products, including life, pension, savings, investment, annuity, health, and variable insurance. LIC operates through various segments such as Participating Life Individual, Non-Participating Life, and Unit Linked businesses. The company has a presence both in India and abroad, with overseas branches in countries like Fiji, Mauritius, and the UK. LIC has expanded its services over the years, introducing new products, digital initiatives, and customer-centric approaches. It has also established subsidiaries in areas such as housing finance, mutual funds, and pension funds. In 2022, LIC became a publicly listed company on the BSE and NSE. As of March 31, 2023, LIC had 8 zonal offices, 113 divisional offices, 2,048 branch offices, 1,580 satellite offices, and 1,169 mini offices across India.
