National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) is a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. It operates an integrated bauxite-alumina-aluminum-power complex, with its main facilities including a 22.75 lakh MT per annum Alumina Refinery in Damanjodi and a 4.60 lakh MT per annum Aluminium Smelter in Angul, Odisha. NALCO has captive bauxite mines, a 1200 MW thermal power plant, and coal mines to support its operations. The company also operates four wind power plants with a total capacity of 198.40 MW across different states. NALCO's business segments include chemicals (calcined alumina, alumina hydrate) and aluminum (ingots, wire rods, billets, strips). The company has expanded into various joint ventures, including a caustic soda plant, an aluminum park, and Khanij Bidesh India Limited for sourcing battery minerals. Recent developments include achieving 100% capacity utilization at its Smelter Plant and commencing operations at Utkal-D Coal Mines.
