Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) is an Indian public sector company that provides loan financing for housing and urban infrastructure projects. Incorporated in 1970, HUDCO offers loans for various sectors including water supply, sewerage, drainage, solid waste management, roads, electricity, smart cities, and industrial infrastructure. The company also provides consultancy services in architectural design, urban planning, and environmental engineering. HUDCO operates retail financing under the brand HUDCO Niwas and has been involved in several government initiatives, including affordable housing projects and smart city developments. As of March 2019, the Indian government held 89.81% of HUDCO's shares through the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Ministry of Rural Development.
