MMTC Limited is a Mini-Ratna Public Sector Undertaking under India's Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Established in 1963, it primarily engages in the export of minerals and import of precious metals, non-ferrous metals, fertilizers, agro products, coal, and hydrocarbons. The company operates across Asia, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, and North America. MMTC has diversified into engineering products and has joint ventures in steel, retailing, free trade warehousing, and commodity exchanges. It is India's largest importer of gold and silver, and has retail jewelry showrooms nationwide. MMTC has a wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore, MMTC Transnational Pte Ltd, which is currently under liquidation. The company also deals in agricultural products, mineral exploration, and trading of various metals and precious stones.
