Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) is an Indian refining company that processes crude oil into petroleum products. It operates two refineries: the Manali Refinery with a 10.5 MMTPA capacity and the Cauvery Basin Refinery with a 1.0 MMTPA capacity. CPCL produces a range of products including LPG, motor spirit, kerosene, aviation fuel, diesel, naphtha, bitumen, lube base stocks, paraffin wax, fuel oil, hexane, and petrochemical feedstocks. The company also manufactures specialty products such as food grade hexane, micro crystalline wax, and propylene. Indian Oil Corporation Limited is the holding company and markets most of CPCL's fuel products. CPCL has implemented various expansion and upgrade projects over the years to improve its refining capabilities and product quality.
